In the search for flawless skin, whether we are 16 or 60, our foundation is never the first step. Yes, we need a great skincare routine. No doubt The Age of Beauty will be offering endless blogs on great skincare products soon. A good skincare routine will remove rough dead skin, and moisturize and plump the healthy skin. However, if you want a flawless look, like a canvas awaiting the painter’s art, you need a great primer!
Primers can offer skin additional treatment benefits while providing a smooth surface that helps your foundation to glide on and blend in with ease. A good primer will also help your make-up to stay put and last all day. Primer’s come in a variety of finishes, like natural, matte, glowing, blurring, pore-minimizing, or glassy. Primers give us options well beyond finishes, some are anti-aging, others oil-absorbing, some firm and tighten our skin.
Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty has two new primers we had to try. One is a skin elixir and the other a mousse. So Summer and I jumped right in and layered the products to see what made them special. Flower Beauty is an affiliate and you can purchase their products here and see what’s New In Flower Beauty!
The first Drew Barrymore Primer we tried from Flower Beauty was Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir. Drew’s Skin Elixir is a lightweight blend of 6 oils, full of antioxidants it protects your skin while providing moisture and nourishment. Jojoba seed oil, Camellia seed oil, and Kukui Nut Oil are included in the gel oil formula. It quickly absorbs into your skin and leaves behind a luminous glow, provided by what Flower Beauty describes as multi-dimensional pearlescent pigments.

Just a few drops left our skin moisturized, smooth and glowing. The Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir looks great alone and also prepares your skin for your *foundation application.

Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty also has a fun new primer called Supernova Celestial Priming Whip. This Priming Whip is an ultra-light-weight mousse. Created to offer an airbrushed makeup effect, Flower Beauty describes it as soft-focusing and brightening. Drew’s primer absorbs quickly and has a light lavender scent.
It provides moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, restorative, and oil-controlling ingredients like camellia seed rosemary leaf, turmeric root, jojoba seed oil, and kukui nut oils. These skin-loving ingredients care for your skin and are also infused with pearlescent pigments for a luminous finish.

You can wear the Supernova Celestial Priming Whip alone, layered on top of the Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir, or under your favorite foundation. Choose one or both to help you create that flawless skin look we all desire.
Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty has many other primers to choose from each with unique ingredients, including a CBD oil serum. We look forward to trying them and sharing our thoughts with you sometime soon. In the meantime you get can the Supernova Celestial Elixer and Whip right here on Flower Beauty’s Home Page
We hope you like them as much as we did. Let us know what you think about primers in the comments below. We love hearing from you.
